Sustainable development is a booming sector in Congo. It is possible to invest in the treatment and exploitation of industrial, hospital and household waste or in the sanitation of urban areas. The industrial sector, including the timber sector, would benefit from ecological support for its deployment. The development of renewable energies such as solar or wind energy is also strongly encouraged in the country.
The Congolese soil is rich in solid ores: potash, phosphate, zinc, copper, manganese, gold, silver, diamonds and a very high iron content. The mining sector is the spearhead of making Congo an emerging power by 2025. Mining is open to free enterprise.
The Republic of Congo is multiplying its strategies to strengthen industrial development. Modernization, construction of basic infrastructure throughout the country (road, bridge, etc.), construction and management of shopping centers, residential cities (new towns), green spaces are other business opportunities in the country.
Wood is the second most important economic sector in Congo. The forest covers more than 65% of its national territory. More than 12 million hectares of forest reserves are used for production. One of the projects that is looking for investors at the moment is Teak Wood. This type of wood is one of the most prized forest products internationally.
